Goodies From Spain!!

When I first started to blog a very nice lady from Spain helped me to upload and then download pictures on my blog. Her name is Margaret. As a token of my appreciation I sent her a small gift. Two weeks ago I received a lovely package in the mail from Spain. I would like to share it with you...

Margaret made me a lovely tote bag and pincushion. She also included a pair of scissors and a scissor fob that is handmade. A cute little pink pen was also included.

She chose this fabric with the little pink ribbons because she knows that my sister has cancer. Margaret, you will never know how much this means to me. I will think of you each time that I use it. It is all packed and ready for my Tuesday stitching group. I can not thank you enough for the thought that went into the fabric, the special little buttons on the tote, the scissors, scissor fob, and the pen. Thank you my friend. Great big hugs to you. I will chat again as soon as my partner receives her pincushion. I have received mine and I love them. Pictures will follow soon.

Pincushion Swap

About a month ago I signed up for a pin cushion swap with Linda. I had quite a time trying to decide which pincushion to make. I had these supplies picked for one pattern. I really wasn't sure if this was the one so I kept on looking.

I picked out more fabrics and supplies, and I felt even more unsure of myself. At this point I was very stressed and wished that I had not signed up for the swap. Does this happen to anyone else? This was my first swap. At this point I had promised myself that this would also be my last one. I was really nervous. I had worked myself into a real snit. I finally decided to use these supplies.

I said to myself, put your big girl panties on and deal with this!! So I did. I made this pincushion.

It is now sailing across the sea to its new home in .... I will let you know when we chat soon!

OMGosh!! Poor Darlene.

A short time ago I printed out all of the names for the give away and added some twice for posting of the give away. My granddaughter drew the names from a bowl. I posted the winners and came back to pick up my mess and throw all the little papers away. OMGosh!! When I got back I found Darlene laying on the floor!! I can't imagine what happened to her. I am so sorry. Darlene if you will send me your address, I will get something off to you. I hope that you are ok after your fall. I almost stepped on you though, then you would have been flat Darlene. I will chat soon.

A Bump In The Road. AND finally a winner!

Hi everyone. I can not tell you how sorry I am to be so late in this giveaway. My sister has had some problems with her health issue and we have had to do the testing over again. Her bone marrow is not making blood. She is weak and very tired most of the time. She got two units of blood last week and is scheduled for more blood work this week. The Dr. is a bit baffled by this. He is consulting the DRs in Vermont. He says that this is just a bump in the road. I pray that he is right.



On to the give away. If I wait to post pictures, it will be another month sooooooooo.... Colleen is the winner. She did not mention seeing my giveaway on another blog sooooooo. SORRY!!!

I am sorry that I have not gotten back to you before this. My intentions are always good. I am really not sure what happens. I believe that someone or something stole several days from May this time. June 1 st! How can that happen??



I am shocked by the response to the give away. Thanks to everyone that left a message. And thanks to everyone that linked to it. You will be entered twice. I have found several new blogs to visit. I am very surprised my the number of people that have no reply. I am sorry, but if I have no way to contact you, I will not be putting your name in the draw. I have sent an e-mail to everyone who entered. If you have not heard from me you are a no reply. I will give you until Wednesday to get back to me. I will have pictures at the beginning of the week and will have the draw at the end of the week.


I have signed up for my first swap with Linda. It is a pincushion swap. I am excited and I am looking for the perfect pincushion. In an earlier post I posted a picture of some of my favorite pincushions.

I am not sure it I want to make one of these, or if I want to do this one,

I think that I just might keep looking.

Happy Birthday to ME!! Happy Giveaway To YOU!!!

My birthday was a couple of weeks ago. In honor of that, I would like to have a giveaway. I have been collecting a few" quilty" things here and there for a while. Hopped On Over!!

Look what hopped over to New York from Michigan. Isn't she the cutest little bunny post card that you have ever seen? I think so. My mailman Earl thinks so too! She came in the mail without even a scratch or mark on her. That is most unusual for my mail. Melanie sent this to me. Again thanks so much Mel. I love her. This is the first fabric postcard that I have seen. I think that they are so cute that I am going to try and make one.

Mel made it look so professional with a stamp (I think) on the back of the card. I am going to check with her to be sure.
I am off to bed now. Tomorrow I am going to a Craft Fair at our local State College. The Spring show is usually not the best but it will be a day out with friends. I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend filled with lots of time to stitch. I will chat later.

A Pleasant Suprise and More!

Last November I signed up on Hanne's blog to join her PIF. Just before Easter I received my gift from her. It was packaged so pretty in a red and tan check bag and tied with red raffia bow. It was a beautiful red work heart with a little bird on it. Also included was a lovely red glass bead heart. I love them both. The heart is hanging on a peg in my bedroom. The glass bead heart I am saving for a special project. Thank you again Hanne. Hanne just finished a beautiful quilt all done in red and white. It is off to be quilted in Canada. I can't wait to see it finished. This is a picture of my gift.

I have also mailed out my PIF gifts. I have heard that one of them has been received. I am not sure of the other. It should have been there by now, but you know the postal service and it had to go to Canada.

I had only two people sign up for my PIF. I made them embroidery stitcheries from Crabapple Hill and finished them into small wall hangings on little antique looking hangers.

I had fun doing this PIF and look forward to doing it again. I met three lovely people that I have really enjoyed. If you get a chance to join one, maybe you should give it a try.

It is getting late and I have to go and watch to see who is going home on Idol tonight. I hope everyone is having a great evening. I will chat later.
