I Want To Move To North Saint Paul Minnesota!

At the very least, I want to visit there someday. I would like to visit Rosebud's Cottage. It is owned by Roseann Meehan Kermes. I have been following her blog for quite some time and I really enjoy it. She and her staff are very pleasant and easy to work with. I have never been to this shop in person only via the Internet and phone. ......maybe someday!

Back on Feb.15 Roseann was posting about A Girls' Nite Out. It sounded like so much fun. I belong to a small stitching group and we meet each week on Tuesdays. Usually we each do our own thing. Cross stitch, quilting, applique, or embroidery. My friends also scrapbook. Well Roseann's project for GNO was a paper covered notebook. I loved the idea. I had never done anything like this before. I sent Roseann an e-mail. She took all the info and made up four kits with a pictures and directions and mailed them to me.
Here is a picture of Debbie's and Karrie's notebook along with mine. We had so much fun making them. I have supplies to make more. Roseann said that I couldn't make just one. She was right.

This is a picture of mine. See the P? I think that it is to pretty to use. But I am going to! I will be back with another project that I saw on her blog that I just HAD to have.

your notebooks are beautiful! I tried to make some one time but they didn't work out too well - may I ask what type of glue you used? Did the kits give good directions for the glueing and cutting? I might have to email her and see if I can get a kit.

I've been to Rosebuds a few times. It's a very small shop that leans toward primitives and woolens. Nice folks work there and they have a comfortable class room. Nice notebooks you have there!

Awww ... Pat ... what a sweetie you are saying such nice things! I'm glad the notebooks worked out for you all ... they look great in the photos. They are totally fun to make ... I never have plain notebooks or graph pads any more. I think you girls need to do some coffee cup sleeves next ... or my wool needle keepers and pincushions! We've just started a creative crawl in White Bear Lake where my studio is ... you'd love it ... you and your friends need to get in the car and drive to Minnesota. You'd have just the best time!! Thanks for all your kind words ...

Rosebud's AND Roseann and her ladies are truly phenomenal ladies. I have had the privilege of being involved with them and it was a treasure over the 4 years I was in a wool club. I live about 175 miles away but was able to drive down the night before and stay with my lovely daughter. It was SUCH fun. I am hoping to get in on the Girl's Night Out with my daughter when my husband and I move about 1 1/2 hours closer to the Twin Cities. Found a lovely little town with a metro feel called Cambridge MN, about 1 hr north of St Paul, maybe 40 minutes north of White Bear Lake. You sound so excited and cute...enjoy those groups!
