Pincushion Swap

About a month ago I signed up for a pin cushion swap with Linda. I had quite a time trying to decide which pincushion to make. I had these supplies picked for one pattern. I really wasn't sure if this was the one so I kept on looking.

I picked out more fabrics and supplies, and I felt even more unsure of myself. At this point I was very stressed and wished that I had not signed up for the swap. Does this happen to anyone else? This was my first swap. At this point I had promised myself that this would also be my last one. I was really nervous. I had worked myself into a real snit. I finally decided to use these supplies.

I said to myself, put your big girl panties on and deal with this!! So I did. I made this pincushion.

It is now sailing across the sea to its new home in .... I will let you know when we chat soon!

I like your pincushion . I'm in the same swap as you and had also the same problems . I think it's because you don't know the people you make for . But the person who receive this pincushion will be very happy with it, i'm sure of it .

Your pin cushion is lovely and don't worry I always stress about swaps.... you shouldn't though because no matter what as a stitcher it is always nice to get something made by someone else.

Your pincushion is lovely. I would be delighted if I received it.
I've been stressing about a swap project today too so it's nice to know it's not just me who gets in a bit of a panic! Hope mine turns out as nice as yours did. Happy stitching.

I am also in the swap Pat and deliberated long and hard about what to make.....eventually made up my mind and am happy with the result...I think you just need to make soemthing you would be pleased to get....I am new to swaps and do tend to worry the recipient won't like what I have made.....but I think if you do your best work and do something you like it will be fine...would be happy to be receiving your cute pincushion by the way!

I worry with every swap that I do and have since found that just making something helps, regardless if that is the one to be sent or not. If I start working early enough, then there is still time to work on something else if it turns out that I really like what was made and want to keep it. So don't despair and keep signing up for swaps.
